Summer Dresses and Stockings
Summer is just around the corner, and with the increase in temperature, we can slowly consign the opaque stockings and tights to the back of our hosiery drawers - exchanging them for a more sheer, lighter selection of stockings.
During the summer months, stockings with a suspender belt will be much cooler than tights - and for the 46%* of women who wear hosiery all year round, that can make a difference.
Summer Stocking Styles
So, what are the options for stockings with summer dresses? Well, we firstly look at lighter weight stockings - so 15 denier or less. If you are after the sheerest stockings available, then take a look at the French Cervin 7 Denier stockings (if you prefer hold ups, then the Falke Lunelle 8 Denier are perfect - we even have toeless hold ups for wearing with sandals). Although a personal favourite are the Wolford Individual 10 denier stockings seen below.

Silk for Summer
The next think to look for is the type of material used to make the stockings. Silk is a natural material and will feel cooler than man-made options - which is one reason the silk stockings will be slightly more expensive. However, a good quality pair of nylon stockings will be more than suitable for a night out.

Fishnet Styles
Of course, there is always the option of fishnet stockings or hold ups, which are not only fashionable, but also incredibly cool on the leg.

Winter Wonderlands
However, as we provide stockings to nearly 200 countries, we have to spare a thought for those that are either in winter, or nearer the poles - in that instance, opaque stockings are your friend! (and the French Gerbe Opaque 70 stockings are stunning).
