It’s that time of year where we can enjoy the lighter nights and warmer temperatures. But while we are ready to consign our thick black tights to the drawer, we’re not quite ready to ditch our tights and stockings just yet…
Many people don't think of hosiery as part of their summer wardrobe, but a survey that we conducted showed that almost half of the UK women (46%) wear tights or stockings all year round.
For the warmer days I would recommend switching to stockings and a suspender belt as opposed to tights. It maybe a little uncomfortable at first if you are not used to it, but a lot of people find it more cooler and comfortable than tights in the summer. A few recommendations for the summer would be:
Contrast heel and toe RHT nylon stockings from Gio.
The collection of beautiful french stockings from Cervin, which are available in three colours.
Hold ups are another good alternative to tights, but one thing to remember is the lower the denier the cooler your legs will feel. There is lots of choice available such as:
The stunning new collection from Ballerina, which are just perfect to liven up that summer wardrobe.
